Alinghi

The Brief

Alinghi was coming to New Zealand for the 2003 America's Cup and were looking to open up their syndicate base and attract people from around the city with an interactive display area.

The Solution

Rocket worked alongside specialist AV and interactive companies to create the Alinghi Interactive Experience:

Grinder game: Race man on man, side by side and against a computer generated sailor

Americas cup computer game: Similar to a Playstation game, you would race a computer opponent around a typical Americas Cup race-course.

Bow rider: A built to scale bow of a racing hull supported on a hydraulic arm. Try and connect the sail line to the bow sprit while been thrown around by simulated swell and breaking waves spraying real salt water into your face.

Heeling test: A life-size section of a race boat on the most extreme heel (angle) so you could test your balance while completing a range of challenges.

The area also show-cased the associated sponsors brand and products in purpose built secure display cases.
